A magnificent hotel at the entrance of the Sukhotai archaeological site. We were upgraded to a higher category during the low season, and the room offered a view of the pool. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, featuring local dishes made on site. The only thing that surprised us was that our spacious, comfortable room had no wardrobe.

Everything about the hotel was lovely. The room was great and comfortable, and ours (206) was right next to the pool. We dined at the hotel and the food was amazing and reasonably priced. At 8 pm we watched a traditional Thai show performed by local students. The pool temperature was just right. Behind the hotel are some ancient ruins to explore. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The only minor issues—none caused by the hotel—were the many mosquitoes due to the river running through the grounds, though mosquito lotion was provided. Also, when we walked into the Old Town area there were no footpaths, so we had to cross the scooter lane, which is crowded with tuk‑tuks.
