We arrived in the evening under heavy rain, only finding the Riad after a guide helped us locate it because the phone wouldn’t work. The room was on the first floor, reached by a steep, narrow staircase, and nobody was there to lift my luggage. This is the first time that has happened; usually the Moroccans are very helpful.

At last, a genuine Riad! The indoor, vegetated patio was stunning, and the spot in the Medina close to the Imperial City was perfect. The breakfast was a bit sparse—no fruit.

The riad was pretty, quiet, and family‑friendly. The reception was friendly, and the room was simple and clean. The Wi‑Fi sometimes dropped out in the room, and the narrow staircase with large steps made reaching the room harder.
