Diggi Palace - A City Center Hidden Heritage Gem

The location, room size, quietness, huge garden with peacocks, and the pool were all great. No complaints.

The hotel is beautiful and the room. well. it actually feels like a palace! From the air conditioning to the balcony, from the bed to the bathroom, everything was simply wonderful. The grounds and the restaurant are also amazing. The hotel cost is a bit high, even though it is a beautiful place. The tuktuk drivers are definitely a bit pushy and make you feel rather guilty if you don't ride with them. They are nice guys, but the hotel would benefit from explaining that guests really, truly don't appreciate pushy pressure from hotel-affiliated tuktuks. It became an issue during my stay

The ambience was decent, but I booked a room for three guests and paid about 17000/- plus taxes. I was still charged 2000/- for an extra bed, and despite a clear mention of free late checkout, I was forced to pay an additional 6000/-. The reception staff claimed they were unaware of the offer and were unhelpful. One employee even said there was nothing free. I expect an 8000/- refund and an apology from Dr Rajeev; I ultimately paid 25000/-, which feels unfair.

The staff were good, especially Aakash, the property manager, who was very kind and helpful. The hotel’s location in the city center is excellent.

The staff were very friendly, the location great, and the pool a highlight; our room was spacious with a nice outdoor sitting area. Everything was fine—no complaints.
