Erhaike Seaview Inn

Nice hotel with a friendly owner. We could use the washing machine to do our laundry. The view on Erhai is still great but I believe that Caicun lost its glory from before. Around 10 years ago the local government rebuilt the waterfront to accommodate mass tourism. Every evening local troubadours organise music sessions, but unfortunately they are not all very well blessed with talent. They perform very close to each other which resulted in a cacophony of annoying noises till late in the evening

“Very nice and cosy inn to stay in Dali”

A snug little inn in Dali that gave me a nice lake view right from the room, just a short stroll from Er‑Hai. It’s roughly an hour’s drive from the train station and only about 15 minutes to the old town, so getting around was easy. The place was quiet, the bathroom spotless, and the lady who ran the place was warm and quick to help. The only hassle was that the nearest parking spot was a 3‑5 minute walk away, and you can’t pull right up to the door.
