“Lovely hotel ,fantastic facilities ,lovely location.”
The room was beautiful, very clean, quiet at night, and the large bed was very comfortable; the en‑suite was great with a large shower, toiletries, plenty of towels, and fluffy dressing gowns. The restaurant offered fabulous food and a nice breakfast. We stayed for 6 nights in a lovely location, in a very pretty town that was easy to travel around and visit other places during our stay. There was a large secure car park with electric gates. The pool, sauna, and gym were beautiful. We were disappointed that there were no facilities to make a cup of tea and no tea bags were provided; a kettle would have been nice. The room could really use a small fridge for drinks, food, and milk because the whole hotel is closed on a Sunday, and during the off‑season there was nowhere to eat or get a drink as the whole town had closed down for winter. We returned early Sunday evening, along with other guests who had attended the same event all weekend, only to find the reception closed, the restaurant and bar shut, and all the lights turned off. We had to drive miles to find some food. On Wednesday we met up with friends who live in France for a drink at the hotel bar at 19.30 pm. It was closed by 21.15 pm as the reception staff were going home. I guess it was just the time of year we were staying.
