I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and accommodating staff, who went out of their way to help me with any questions or issues I had. However, I was initially misled by the photos, which didn't accurately represent the chalet's facilities. To make matters worse, the toilet was bubbling through the shower outlet, which was quite off-putting.

Unfortunately, the road leading to the lodge was in a terrible condition, making it a challenging drive, especially at night. I would strongly advise arriving during the day to avoid any difficulties. On the other hand, the property itself had well-maintained roads, which was a relief.

“Beautiful and peaceful location”

The location of the cabins was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and an abundance of wildlife and birds right on our doorstep. The owner, Jacob, was also incredibly kind and welcoming. However, I would caution that the road to get there is in a poor state, with many potholes and gravel sections, so a good car is essential. Additionally, as it's self-catering, be sure to bring plenty of water, as there are no shops nearby.

“We loved the Game drive and the owners were very helpful”

We thoroughly enjoyed the game drive and appreciated the helpfulness of the owners, who made us feel right at home. However, the only downside was that we couldn't stay longer and experience more of what the lodge had to offer.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at the cottage, thanks in large part to Jacob's exceptional hosting skills. The cottage itself was small but incredibly comfortable, and the birdlife was simply amazing. However, be aware that you may need a high-clearance car to navigate the drive in after heavy rain.
