The pool and the resort’s restaurant were both solid highlights – clean water and decent food. Unfortunately the microwave in the room was dead the whole time, which was a hassle for us. Overall, the positives outweighed the one broken appliance.

The place is right in the middle of everything and the vibe inside is pleasant, which made getting around easy. The only downside was dealing with a swarm of insects that showed up at night. Still, the location makes up for the bug problem.

The layout let us set up our own meals – we did breakfast there and swapped lunch or dinner depending on the day’s tours. Tides dictated when we could swim in the natural pool, and the resort’s several pools stayed warm and open until 10 pm, which we liked for night swims. The owner was quick to answer any request, and Muro Alto beach was calm while the town’s hustle stayed out of sight.

We fell in love with the resort – the day‑time vibe is perfect, the pools are beautiful and the apartment is brand‑new with a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast at the restaurant was a good deal at 44 per person, and the little market inside had water and frozen meals like lasagna at prices far cheaper than elsewhere. The owner and staff were super attentive, even when we arrived just before midnight.
