Beautiful Flanders townhouse, great central location, very friendly & hospitable host… excellent value for money and a great first/last night stopover if travelling via Dunkirk. The rooms have shared bathrooms, but in fairness we were on our own on our floor and I think the host does her best to make privacy arrangements as good as possible, plus if all the rooms were ensuite the rental rate would be a lot more. I would advise advance booking of local restaurants as Bergues is a small, sleepy town and places get full quickly, oh and everyone goes to bed at about 9pm even on a Saturday…

The décor, the kitchenette, and the room’s ambience were great. The toilets on the landing made noise at night because of the floor, which was annoying when getting up.

The accommodation is well maintained and beautiful; the housekeeper is extremely kind and caring. You can go there with your eyes closed. The only downside is that one duvet is a bit too warm for the season.

A quiet room in a tastefully designed building. The breakfast was superb and fully stocked. The host gave a lot of explanations and did not bother us. Nothing negative at all.
