I booked a dinner‑included plan, but when I called to say I probably wouldn’t make the check‑in deadline, they factored in the restaurant’s crowd that day and my delayed arrival, and shifted the dinner start time accordingly. Their flexibility was much appreciated. The room smelled of tatami, giving a nostalgic, relaxing vibe. However, because it was a Japanese‑style room, the bedding was futons, but the mattress felt firmer than I expected; it’s a bit different from the fluffy futons you imagine at a typical ryokan.
