Abel Tasman Motor Inn, located on Newell Highway in Dubbo, features an outdoor pool and covered BBQ area. The hotel is 2 km from Taronga Western Plains Zoo and 100 metres from the Macquarie River. Air-conditioned rooms have satellite TV, DVD player, microwave, refrigerator, and tea and coffee facilities, plus a seating area and private bathroom.

The building is beautiful and reasonably priced. The kids loved the Ninja Warrior course across the road, which had plenty of space to run and walk. Club Dubbo is also conveniently located across the road for dinner. The Wi‑Fi was extremely slow all night; we spoke to the gentleman at reception, who was friendly and offered to reset it for us, which we appreciated, although we decided not to ask him to do so. There was also a noticeable chemical‑like smell coming from the bathroom throughout our stay.

The staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, and the room was a good size. It was a bit noisy.

Communication was good, allowing for a late check‑in. The room was comfortable, clean, and offered reasonable value.

I always stay here, the place is great and check‑in is easy, and there was nothing to complain about.
