The hotel sits an hour outside Calais, offering a comfy stay and a continental breakfast served in the garden on a sunny, dry morning; the local restaurants are few but gave our party a chance to try something new, which turned out great, and we’d gladly return if we’re in the area. All rooms are on the upper floor accessed by stairs, which is fine for someone mobile, but the steepness and sharp turn could challenge an elderly or less mobile guest.
