Les chambres de l'Abbaye

Everything about this place was wonderful, and I would go back to Caen just to stay here again. The rooms are charming, spacious, and clean, and the garden is beautiful. The host is warm and attentive to both big and small needs (carrying suitcases upstairs, arranging taxis, giving recommendations on restaurants and banks) and cooks the most nutritious breakfast I've ever had in France. Besides that, the location is perfect, right next to city hall and l'Abbaye aux Hommes, within walking distance of Caen castle, and in the middle of the historic district of Caen, filled with students and cafés. Highly recommended!

The location is very central, the host is friendly, and there’s a good parking spot in the underground garage right nearby; staying in old townhouses is always something special. The breakfast could have been a bit more extensive.
