The host and hostess were incredibly welcoming and friendly—Italy at its best. Our room was in a 16th‑century hunting lodge, impeccably renovated with great taste and attention to detail. La Vacia sits in a large, beautifully landscaped garden full of fragrant flowers and plants; you can sit in the sun or shade and feel completely relaxed. The adjacent road is barely audible. Nice beaches and eateries are nearby. Nothing to complain about; we left far too early. Just remember the mosquitoes, but that's normal for a garden.
