The design and location were good. The staff were unfriendly and ignored all our requests, even making our stay harder. They tossed the fresh, pricey bouquet of birthday flowers we had brought for the celebration, without offering an apology or compensation.

The location was great, but that’s about it. The door entry made a loud buzzing noise, and because the doors and walls are paper‑thin (we could hear the neighbors even with our doors closed), it woke us up multiple times. The bathroom was dirty and moldy. On Friday and Saturday we could hear the bar next door. The facilities are incredibly dated and in various states of disrepair, the check‑in was poor, and there were after‑hours fees like a hostel. The shower was broken; I later saw a similar review and realized I had the same room as the person complaining months earlier. It has a rain shower head that can’t be used because they were too cheap to fix it. The bidet was also blocked, which is a real disappointment on a honeymoon. It’s a shame this place could be great with renovations, but it’s one of my biggest regrets from this trip.

The property is very attractive, and parking our car nearby while exploring Florence was easy.
