The location, host, ambience, breakfast and rooms are extraordinary and hard to beat, yet the flat sits on an upper floor and you have to haul your luggage up several flights of stairs.

The home was stunning and situated in a convenient part of Bologna Palazzo, but you really shouldn’t skip the rooftop terrace!

Breakfast was okay. We really didn’t have anything (by choice) that was out of the ordinary. Carlo gave good recommendations for places to eat and see. The stairs going up to the B& B (73) and the lighting going upstairs or downstairs left a lot to be desired
