The first safari at HillsNek Camp was simply gorgeous, fantastic, unique, and excellent! Tamara and her team did a superb job, and the food was outstanding, all crafted with so much attention to detail.

From the moment we arrived, the team took care of us, the comfort was top‑level, the staff friendly, the guide Tim knowledgeable, and the restaurant served extraordinary breakfasts, lunches, and dinners; the lodge itself offered a stunning view, and the respect for the environment, wildlife, and flora was evident, with weather‑adapted ponchos provided and daily small gestures. The only downside was the lack of directions to the national road to reach Hillsnesk and no warning at booking about the need for a rental car to access the site.

Everything was spot on – the lodge feels like a dream where no request is too big, and the team anticipates your needs before you even think of them. Tim, our ranger, was a knowledge powerhouse whose enthusiasm rubbed off on us; he always tracked the animals we cared about and never missed a beat. The staff keep smiling, the meals are amazing, and the lodge’s vibe is electric. Still, the wildlife, the night sky, and the sweeping views steal the show. We just wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

The setting and vistas were gorgeous, the rooms super comfy, the food tasty, and the staff went above and beyond. Game drives were unforgettable and tailored to us. We did hit a few power hiccups and occasional lack of hot water, but in such a beautiful spot it hardly mattered.
