I was impressed by how friendly the staff were and the great value for money, especially the breakfast and the location. However, we booked a room for four and there was only space for three, so they improvised with extra mattresses. It worked but shouldn’t have been necessary; I mentioned this at the time of booking.

The breakfast is good, they think of children, and there are many options; the photos don’t match reality, the lodge is all old, the corridors look like those from spooky movies, the bathrooms are old, lack shampoo holders, toilet paper, and have broken shower doors; the rooms are old, dark, the beds are literally two together on a wooden frame; at reception they still tried to charge extra cleaning fees.

The coffee was excellent and the staff were very welcoming. The room was a bit old but I liked the clean sheets and towels, which made the stay pleasant.
