It feels like a shed where you sleep. The worst accommodation I've stayed in over five years—everything is open, so you end up sleeping with cockroaches, spiders, and bats in your room, and there's no cozy spot to sit.

Carlos did an amazing job with the mangrove reforestation planting and was very kind to us, but the infrastructure fell short of our expectations, and maybe we’re just not the right audience for this kind of lodging.

Carlos, the owner of the ecohotel, is a very friendly guy who lives on the premises and offers the best private tours at a very affordable price, led by locals; it’s an experience highly recommended if you want to see what living on an island like this really feels like.

Carlos was incredible, always ready to help. He guided us to good places to eat, answered every question, even called the ferry company to confirm pickup times. He welcomed us with great hospitality. Coming from Canada, the heat was a bit much for us, but otherwise everything felt authentic and family‑friendly.

Karlos was a very pleasant host, committed to island conservation. The beach just two minutes away was our favorite spot, and the setting is right in the heart of nature, super quiet. We booked knowing the shower was just a bucket, so it didn't bother us, but long‑term guests should be aware to avoid disappointment. It also highlights how precious water is on the island.
