Loch Shuna Lodges

The location was great, and the sauna, hot tub, and fireplace were all excellent features. Electric heating kept the lodge warm in January. It could have been a perfect 10 if a few small details had gotten more attention. The owners moved our stuff from one lodge to another after check‑in while we went shopping, and they didn’t think it was right to text or call us. We came back to find someone else in what we thought was our hot tub. No towels were provided and that wasn’t mentioned in the description. Communication could have been better.

“Quiet grown up time off.”

At the end of the season everything was shut down and the place was almost deserted, which was perfect for the two of us wanting privacy and solitude. The hot tub was just steps from the front door, secluded and very private, and it was dark and early, so we could relax without interference from staff, owners, or neighbours. The lodge was a little tired, dusty, and old‑fashioned but still comfortable, clean enough, warm, and well‑equipped with the basics and a little extra. There was no extra charge for electricity, no internet, no phone, and only a standard TV. We didn’t get any towels, the bedroom window was swollen open and couldn’t close, it was super cold one night, the recycling bins hadn’t been emptied for our arrival (just missed), the windows were open on arrival and it was cold on entry, and there were no cleaning cloths. I would have wiped up better if I had had access to cloths.

“Relax in nature”

The location was secluded and private, the area was quiet, and the Jacuzzi and sauna were amazing.

The cabin was a beautiful proper log cabin in a perfect location. I loved everything.

“Awful.”

The place wasn’t cleaned before we arrived, and the owner told us that, looking a bit exhausted in the kitchen. They didn’t help and refused any feedback unless it was positive. I couldn’t wait to leave after just one day.
