The owner was always friendly and attentive, and the breakfast gave us everything we needed. The whole place has a rustic vibe, tucked in a preserved forest with a fantastic river and scenery that takes your breath away, so you don’t expect five‑star hotel luxuries. The little chalet was cozy, the bathroom tiny but with a hot shower, and from the door you could see the river and the cats lounging on the grass. If you’re after nightlife, the town is about a 15‑minute drive away.

Breakfast was simple but solid, covering all the basics and then some. Rodrigo and his mother Zanza were welcoming and ready to help whenever we asked. The location is superb, surrounded by lush nature and the constant sound of the waterfall made mornings feel peaceful. The only downside was the access road, which had a few potholes but was still drivable.

The room was comfortable and felt nicely appointed, a pleasant place to unwind after a day out.

The hosts went out of their way to be kind and helpful, which made the stay easy. Breakfast, however, was pretty basic and didn’t offer much variety.
