The place is very well located; we walked calmly to the Duomo with unbeatable city views. Next to the lodging is a very picturesque square with cafés and shops that stay open late, a Carrefour nearby and a bus stop, which was ideal for staying a few days in Tuscany and exploring calmly. It has a Renaissance roof and also a complimentary coffee. The neighborhood is quiet and central. It is a bit small, and the bathroom lacks ventilation, so it can smell damp; the walls are very thin so we could hear our neighbors, and the floor also makes a lot of noise. The check‑in was a bit chaotic because they talk about an app but it’s actually an internet link that gives you the steps; after a while you understand it, but the check‑in can be confusing.

It is relatively centrally located, very friendly contact with the host, good general area, the room was good and appropriately furnished for the price. Two things were unfortunately very disturbing: first, the sewage smell that was present in the bathroom, and as soon as you open the bathroom door it spilled into the room. Unfortunately this is a problem in many Italian cities and I don’t know how much the owner can do about it. Second, there is a bar a little further down a side street where people party extremely loudly until the morning, which spoils the night’s rest; otherwise it’s a good accommodation.

The spot is spot on, the only tweak I’d suggest is the mattress; otherwise everything’s spot on!

The place is fantastic, right near everything yet just outside the busiest tourist spots, the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water, the interior looked gorgeous, and the host was super friendly.
