A few kilometres from Gorizia, we found a truly welcoming and quiet place. The owners are kind and helpful, and the breakfast is excellent—highly recommended!

The Ottavia building and its human owners sit in an excellent spot for reaching most sights between Trieste and Gorizia. The interior differs from what you might expect—our room was all wood, both floor and walls—so it caught you off guard. The attention to detail and care for guests is evident from the owner. If you hit a bad weather day (which we did), the little Ottavia will cure any discomfort. I’d gladly return; we had a great time.
