The room had a private bath that was comfortable, and the public bath was also pleasant. The view from the open air bath was the best, and access to nearby attractions around Kirishima was convenient.

The bath was clean, and I enjoyed the various private baths. Ice after the bath and the nighttime ramen were tasty. Seeing a blue heron in the previous pond during the morning bath was moving. The room was on the edge of the property, so the view was a bit underwhelming; there were trees, but I had hoped for the grandeur of Kirishima, which was disappointing.

Loved this place! Breakfast was great and the hot springs are amazing. Room is very spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Pillows could be better, but not a big deal, still had a decent night of sleep

We ate a solid breakfast and fell in love with the onsen, and the small restaurants within walking distance were a bonus. The hotel sits close to hiking trails and other sights, which was handy. Our four‑person family liked the spacious room. However, we’ve rarely seen so many extra fees in Japan, and the taxes at checkout added up. The dinner we had one night was also pricey for what it offered, so I’d skip it. Some bedroom lights are motion‑activated, so they turn on when someone gets up at night—this can disturb light sleepers. The hotel offered maid service or extra towels, but it wasn’t clear if housekeeping was included, so we declined. We also didn’t know where to dispose of trash after a four‑night stay, which was a small hassle. Overall, despite the extra costs and minor inconveniences, the kids enjoyed themselves and the hotel was a relaxing place to stay.
