“Классный отель”

The hotel sits in a great spot, and you can walk across a bridge to the old town. The only hiccup was that when I left the station with a suitcase, following Google Maps, I realized I’d have to haul the bag up the stairs by hand—quite a chore, so don’t make the same mistake; a taxi for €10 is better. We checked in at 10 pm, and the front desk said the room would be ready in an hour, so they took our luggage and stowed it in a small locker instead of leaving it in the lobby, which is a nice security touch. The rooms were excellent; our windows faced the courtyard and it was very quiet. There was even a iron and ironing board in the room, which you normally have to request elsewhere. The staff were polite, and there’s a great Asian‑food café nearby. The building’s exterior looks a bit shabby, but inside it’s much better than we expected.

The location is convenient for both the train station and the ferry departure point. Unfortunately there’s no safe, and the breakfast price is a bit high.

The only thing that mattered was how far it was from the trade fair. The room was tiny, the whole night it buzzed with noise from the neighboring room, the walls were thin, the furniture was very old and worn, the elevator was broken, and the stairs were cramped.
