“A nossa estadia teve alguns pontos positivos, infelizmente também há aspetos que precisam de atenção”
We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, who were always attentive and accommodating. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the dining room staff were very attentive. On the day of our departure, our flight was at 19:00, so we asked if we could store our luggage, and the staff were extremely kind and helped us without any trouble. Overall, the hotel has very friendly staff and a good breakfast, but there are several issues with cleanliness, hygiene, security, and maintenance that need improvement to match the expectations of a hotel stay. Cleanliness and maintenance were the biggest disappointments. Our room felt rushed in its cleaning. We had to move the beds because a baby’s item fell, and we found a lot of dirt underneath, including red petals and an object that seemed to belong to a child who had previously stayed in the room, with no idea how long it had been there. We also found hair on the sheets, the comforter had ballpoint pen marks, and the refrigerator was dirty, with a black mold stain at the back of the mini fridge. The balcony needed more attention; there was a lot of pigeon droppings, which is especially concerning with a baby, not just for cleanliness but also for hygiene. In terms of maintenance, the bathroom light kept turning off, forcing us to use only the mirror light, which was very weak. Some switches didn’t work, as did the balcony light. There were also outlets that didn’t seem entirely safe and should be checked and repaired. We had an issue with our baby bottle warmer that caused the room’s circuit breaker to trip; that was our own device, not the hotel’s fault. Still, the maintenance man was very attentive, available, and helpful in explaining the situation, so we’re grateful for his attention. The shower had low water pressure, making the bath uncomfortable, and the shower hose was stiff and impractical. Since the bathtub is used as a shower, we also think an anti‑slip solution is needed, as it can become dangerous, especially for children or people with reduced mobility. For a four‑star hotel, there are many flaws that, in my opinion, would change its rating.
