The breakfasts and dinners were superb in both variety and quality, and every staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. The location near Hadrian's Wall was very walkable, and getting to the Roman Army Museum and Vindolanda Museums—both amazing—was easy by bus. There’s no better place to stay if you want to visit these sites.

I stayed in room 17, which was compact but functional and nicely decorated. The bathroom was well appointed, with a powerful shower and fluffy towels. Breakfast in the morning was good, offering a range of hot options and a buffet. The radiator in the room was off and couldn’t be turned on, so it was a bit chilly. The double bed was not very comfortable. Breakfast could have had a bigger baked beans portion, and the scrambled eggs were a little green, which I didn’t like. The hot chocolate was watery.
