Getting the key was easy and the beds were comfortable; breakfast was good and the price was fair. We had booked a family room with a bunk bed, but the staff said there was a mistake in the description on Booking and only one such room existed; the other rooms had futons that you had to unfold and make into beds, which was fine for us, but we would have preferred that to be set up already instead of having to figure it out ourselves in the evening when we just needed to get the kids to bed.

Close to the competition and cheap, but the evening staff serving dinner had a slightly rude attitude, which lowered the rating for staff, while the morning staff were super friendly.

The room sits close to a lovely lake and woodland at the back, and dogs are welcome, but the front of the property feels like a roadside stop.

Comfortable beds and a great location, yet the bake‑off bread at breakfast was poor, and a touch of paint on the outer doors could have lifted the overall impression.
