Sun Hostel

The hostel has everything you need: a kitchen with a terrace, many bathrooms, a great location, and fast Wi‑Fi. The alley is calm, away from noisy streets. The lady in the kitchen (by the way, breakfast is delicious) is very, very friendly!

“Inconfortable, sale, et mensonger dans l'annonce”

The hotel’s location in the Medina is great. The photos were misleading, especially showing windows in rooms that didn’t have any. The bedding was very worn, with sagging in my bed and the one shared by my friends. It wasn’t very expensive, so I could adapt to those comfort issues, but the cleanliness was unforgivable. It was very dirty, especially in the toilets and bathrooms where grime had accumulated in many corners and even on the terrace sofas with embedded stains. Beyond the obvious dirt, the most annoying thing was the bad odor—a mix of urine and mildew. To top it off, the hostel offers a gift to guests in exchange for a 10/10 rating on Booking, which explains the rather decent reviews on the platform… In short, I do not recommend this place and I am concerned about their questionable practices!

This place is super chill. Omar is the best host, really cool and professional. The cats are cute. The location is great, and it’s not noisy in the evening. I would suggest a more varied breakfast, not just carbs—maybe some fruit and veg in the future. Some doors could be locked for privacy. Overall, I liked the place and in fact I was there three separate times while traveling to and from Essaouira, Toubkal, etc.
