The staff were helpful, but overall it was a bit of a let‑down.

The curtains were torn in the room, and the breakfast didn’t match a buffet; the restaurant was closed.

The mattress was comfy, yet no housekeeping took place: hair on the sheets, fur on the bed and the rail, a dead spider between the two pillows, dampness in the bathroom, no heating, and a spider on the ceiling.

There was nothing positive. I want to report the hygiene conditions at Hôtel L’Artière in Ceyrat. On 2 October 2026, upon arrival, we found no welcome and had to call to access our room. Inside, it was clearly not ready or properly cleaned. The most alarming issue was the bathroom: the toilet still had urine stuck to the bowl. We immediately photographed the room and the facilities. Because of this, we lost all confidence in the cleaning standards and felt we could not stay the night. We reported the situation right away. The hotel tried to contact the establishment to find a solution, but the hotel did not answer while we were on site. The manager could not be located. As time passed, we had to leave the property without staying the night and find another accommodation ourselves. I have photos taken at arrival documenting the conditions, and I also reported to the Regional Health Agency. The room was unsanitary. Stay away.
