The staff were adorable, and the breakfast was varied and high quality, but the bedding was noisy and could use a quick refresh in the rooms.

“Amazing food and an otherwise pleasant stay, unfortunately ruined by a serious bug issue in two of our rooms.”

We were overall pleased with the accommodation and especially impressed by the restaurant, which offered an amazing dinner and breakfast, yet the next morning everything turned unpleasant: our booking had one quadruple room and two double rooms for our group of eight friends, but both double rooms seemed to have a serious bug infestation, likely bed bugs. Two of the four guests in the double rooms woke up covered in bites—one with at least 30 across his torso and body, the other with at least 10. We had seen tiny red bugs in the rooms, and because the windows were open when we arrived we thought they had come from outside, but that wasn’t the case. We regret having to leave this review, especially since we enjoyed everything else, but this is a serious hygiene issue that needs immediate attention. One of us was allergic and suffered a severe reaction the next day, so please arrange a thorough pest inspection and treatment as soon as possible.

“First stay”

The staff were friendly and very helpful, but the noise from big lorries started fairly early in the morning.
