Hotel España Ocean Drive, a 19th-century building in central Barcelona, offers elegant rooms with flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, and modern bathrooms. The property was absolutely stunning, and the staff was lovely. The location right outside the hotel made me nervous; it felt a little sketchy, and I was uneasy walking to a restaurant at night.

The hotel was gorgeous and in a great spot – stylish, classy, yet modern, and I’ll definitely return. We didn’t realize that during our stay half of La Rambla would be shut down, which made getting to and from the hotel a bit of a hassle, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault, just general inconvenience. The elevator area was under repair while we were there, which felt a little uncomfortable, yet it didn’t ruin my overall impression of the place.

The rooms are super comfortable, the place feels so cozy that you don’t feel the urge to go out and tour, the staff are very attentive and friendly, it’s located very well, close to the L3 metro line where you can get to any tourist spot in less than 10 minutes. I would definitely go back.

I thought the price was a bit high for this hotel. The cleaning was lacking because there was a lot of clutter.
