Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a really good breakfast. It was all good

The spot is spot on, right by the minster, and the breakfast was solid. The downside was the view from our room – it faced other buildings so it wasn’t great.

The location was good, the bed was comfy and the shower nice, but bottles emptied outside late in the evening woke us up.

The location was fine, but the breakfast was basic and the hotel needs significant renovations throughout; worst of all, the double bedroom had a large single bed. The manager was helpful and offered a discount, but we shouldn’t have had to get to that point; the room should not have been sold as a double. Full stop.
