Everything was great, but it wasn’t that good.

The location is great, with easy access to Balaton from the camping area, and the property is dog‑friendly. However, spiders were everywhere—everywhere on the terrace and the walls of the cabin were covered in webs. In the evenings we couldn’t sit on the terrace because a swarm of spiders was coming out, and one night we had an invasion of tiny spiders under the ceiling in one of the rooms.

Camping scores 10 out of 10, even 11, small, tidy, clean, with a pool, dining facilities, close to the ferry to Tihany and a beautiful promenade that stretches right into the center and beyond the lake. The Merkury cabin is generally okay, but comfort is 8; the bathroom is small, lacks cosmetic shelves, feels cramped, and the spiders and flies in the windows have been a recurring complaint that the camp staff ignore.

Very close to the park, fully dog‑friendly. The many spiders and stray mosquitoes are a problem, but the camp can’t be blamed for that.
