The room was fine, but the TV remote was missing; the breakfast was a nightmare—staff, equipment and products (butter, jam) failed to meet normal standards.

The bed was super comfy and the night was rock‑silent, letting me sleep soundly. The reception staff were very friendly, especially the night shift guys. One of them fixed a drain issue in my bathroom, while the afternoon staff told me I’d have to change rooms because maintenance wasn’t available on Sunday. That night‑shift receptionist deserves a 10 for stopping me from being moved for a silly reason. On the downside, none of the three nights had the room cleaned at all – I can’t believe they didn’t. The Spanish TV channels were completely non‑functional. The pesto pasta at the restaurant needs urgent improvement; it cost 13€ and tasted awful, and the chicken didn’t taste like chicken at all. There’s a McDonald’s and a Burger King about 800 m away, and walking there feels risky.

Cleanliness, a large and comfortable bed, plenty of outlets, bathroom equipment, and helpful receptionists; we stayed in several rooms with friends, not as a couple. None of us liked that the bathroom had no door, and because of the bed and the opposite mirror we could see straight into the bathtub and toilet; the lamps created a nice ambience but were far too few to find something on the dark‑grey carpet.

“Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Würden es defintiv wieder buchen.”

The hotel feels very modern and welcoming. Rooms are clean and nicely furnished. The location is great – you’re close to Düsseldorf and everything you need in Ratingen. Parking on the side streets is plenty.
