Central location. A bit dated, but very clean and quiet.

The restaurant is very nice, the food excellent, and all staff were extremely friendly, attentive and competent. The bed and bathroom were also very clean, leaving a very good impression. However, our room was clearly old‑fashioned, looking like a mix of 1980s décor and basic Ikea furnishings. The bed had no headboard; instead there were obvious grease stains on the ribbed wallpaper at head height. Around the light switch there were also stains, and a socket cover was missing. Street noise was loud even at night. Given the high nightly rate, we were surprised to find a room in this condition. The state of the room suggested that for a long time there had been insufficient maintenance and modernization.

A nice restaurant where the food tasted good and the prices were OK. The service was very quick and friendly. The room was large. The breakfast next door at Becker was €3 more expensive but much better. The hotel offers only the bare minimum, so it’s better to send guests to the nearby baker for a buffet. The skylight had only one roller shade for darkness. Overall the room under the roof was too warm; a fan helped only a little. The big TV shown in the brochure turned out to be a small 22‑inch TV that also sat too low. The Wi‑Fi was very bad; using mobile data worked better. The bathroom was very cold because of a small towel, and there was no daylight bath.

Fast, straightforward, clean, very quiet, easy to reach, close to the city centre. A bit old‑fashioned – but that’s a matter of taste ;-)
