The Royal Oak

“Our stay at the Royal Oak on Dorchester Road Weymouth”

We liked the location for catching the bus to town, and the chippy, bakery, Tesco Express, pizza shop, and convenience store next door were convenient. I reported that the room door was very hard to open and I had to push hard, which caused me to fall but I wasn’t badly hurt. I also reported that the hot water tap in the bathroom was only trickling and never got hot, and that the TV handset wasn’t working, but nothing was done about either issue.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the prices were great—good value overall. The mattress could use a replacement, but for the cost you can’t complain.

The room felt a little dated and mismatched, yet it was clean and had towels, tea, and coffee. The location was great and parking was available. The TV signal was very poor.

The staff were very helpful, the accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the pint was lovely. I had to stay only one night due to circumstances, but I still enjoyed it. Thank you, Royal Oak. Unfortunately, the shower was leaking badly, and I left a notice for the staff.

The room was large and comfortable, the beds were good, and the location was great with plenty of local amenities. It was a bit noisy in the evening, but that’s expected in a vibrant pub area and the atmosphere was good.
