They anticipated my needs; for instance, there was no ice bucket in the room when I checked in, so I brought drinks for later, and when I returned in the evening a bucket of ice was already there even though I hadn’t asked. I was heartbroken when they removed their delicious chocolate cheese cake, which was fantastic, and I also wished Off the Record had colder AC.

I paid for a king room but was given a double that wasn’t handicapped, and the staff said it was the smallest room in the whole hotel. I asked for a larger room, but the concierge didn’t care. I spent time watching a would-be UK socialite who arrived the next day, and this is the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever been to in the world! They need to treat both concierge employees fairly.
