The location at the entrance of the medina is convenient for arrivals, but the climb with the luggage was a bit of a challenge. The riad itself is beautiful, with magnificent doors and décor, and has huge potential with better management. The breakfast was plentiful. However, the customer service did not live up to the standards of a guest house as advertised; the only staff member does his best politely but speaks neither French nor English, so communication is minimal. The room was not cleaned over the three nights; we had to empty our trash ourselves in a small bin, and the hot water took so long that we ended up with cold water. The hair dryer was out of service. The rooftop was inaccessible due to work. The entry system had no key; if the staff was absent or didn’t hear, you had to wait. The mattress and pillows were very hard and too thick.
