If you drive from the town station to the hotel, it’s close; walking takes about 25 minutes, but with luggage it’s exhausting because there’s a long uphill stretch without a sidewalk, though traffic isn’t heavy. The room sits beside the fjord, offering a beautiful view and quietness; it’s small, clean, with comfy bedding and a basic kitchen. Shopping requires a trip to the town, and the front desk works until 9 pm. The cooking oil in the kitchen had been stored too long and smelled distinctly rancid; when I asked the staff to replace it, they said it was fine and refused, so I had to buy new oil elsewhere.
