Just a 3‑minute walk to Billa and the Seilbahn, so I hopped on the lift to Idaalp and trekked back down in about 2–2.5 hours; the balcony was shared with another room but nobody seemed to be there, so I could enjoy it solo. The family‑run place had a warm, cosy vibe, parking was available, and I’ll be back. I tried to book a second night but it was closed for the season after my first stay.

The welcome was warm, the room was stunning with a magical mountain view and spotless cleanliness, and the breakfast was delicious.
