“Was für eine angenehme Überraschung”

We didn’t expect this at all: an authentic 1960s motel tucked away by a lake on a huge park‑like estate with its own beach, truly unique. The operator is very friendly, a collector of eclectic country boats and (racing) boats, and although there are a few minor shortcomings, we accepted them given the uniqueness of the place.

“Fabulous location, with its own private beach”

The spot is fantastic, with its own private beach that, when we visited in September, never had more than one other couple. Every room offers a clear, open view up the lake. There’s an intriguing mix of modern and classic boats. The pool was closed, but the lake was wonderfully warm.

It feels like a trip back to the 60s—impressive preservation, beautiful, and the welcome was perfect. Kudos! The weather was the only downside.

The location is simply incredible, right on the lake with a gentle, flat entry. Breakfast caters to every taste, and the fresh fruit was especially appealing. The outdoor seating areas on the property invite guests to enjoy evenings there. It would have been nice if there were on‑site dinner options; we could order pizza, but we chose to go to another restaurant instead.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön und für einen Aufenthalt wo man die meiste Zeit im Hotel verbringen will sehr gut. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war ziemlich dürftig, man hat zu Fuß eigentlich keine Möglichkeit vom Hotel irgendwohin zu kommen. Kein Restaurant im Hotel
