The only thing that was decent was the location. The door on my flat wouldn’t lock, the shower was broken, and the whole place looked dirty and badly maintained. On the first night they double‑booked a room, so a couple with a valid reservation had to sleep on chairs in the front room. I patched the lock with a piece of cardboard, but the next day the door was unlocked and half‑open when I returned from work. The shower stayed non‑functional and the smoke detector was just exposed wires. There were no cups, and I felt eaten alive by something.

We couldn’t get in—waited and waited—communication was awful, leaving us stranded even though we had a confirmation from the previous week. They told us we’d receive a code to enter but never sent it, and the phone number was wrong. It was an absolutely appalling way to treat guests. Then we were told the booking was cancelled. We’d already traveled to the room before a show, and because of the hall issues we missed half the show. If they had cancelled earlier, we might have found alternative accommodation (though that’s another story). The communication was dreadful, and the location was awful.
