The breakfasts were superb, and we ended up eating at the restaurant every night because we loved the menu; however, the room got quite hot and the air‑con on high made too much noise to sleep.

We were up at 7.00 every morning because our room sat right next to the cleaners cupboard, but the staff were friendly and the food was good.

We think Le Friquet is a 3‑star hotel, yet it feels like a 4‑star place; all staff were friendly and helpful, the decor was good and everything was very clean. Breakfast offered a wide variety of tasty hot and cold dishes and fresh‑squeezed orange juice. The dinner was good value and excellent quality. The grounds were beautifully maintained with a heated outdoor pool. Our room was comfortable, quiet, and overlooked the grounds. Parking was easy and buses ran frequently to St Peter Port. The coast road is a 5‑minute drive away for stunning views, and there was nothing to dislike.
