The hotel is in a good location and offers free parking. The hotel is old, almost 100 years old, and the rooms are outdated; during the stay, inexplicable fire alarm sounds in the hallway kept going on, affecting our mood, and there was no free bottled water.

I was impressed by how accommodating the hotel staff was—they handed us a parking pass and even stored our luggage before we checked in, which was a huge help since we had an event at 3 pm. No complaints.

The room was comfortable, but there were bedside tables on both sides of the bed.

This old‑fashioned hotel isn’t part of a soulless chain; it felt personal, the bed was comfortable, the staff were amazingly helpful, and the location was great for accessing downtown via the Green Line.

I loved that Poor Phils was close by and that the room was spacious.
