The historic setting and beautiful grounds were impressive, but there was no visible staff and zero amenities. I couldn’t figure out how or where to order food, and the room lacked even a service desk phone, a TV, and the walls were paper thin. We had to whisper and try not to laugh between 10 pm and 1 am because the guy next to us was chewing food.

Dinner was good and the drinks were fine. The room had no toilet.

The food was very good, and we enjoyed eating together in our room by the open window. The garden’s scent coming through the window made the experience especially relaxing and memorable. We weren’t fans of the communal bathrooms; the setup was manageable, but some guests were disrespectful and didn’t leave the shared spaces clean or considerate.
