“The bed was comfortable and the only thing clean and the staff were amazing”
The front‑desk gentleman and the young lady who checked us out, plus an older man who might have been a houseman, were all extremely friendly and had great personalities, which made the run‑down hotel feel less off. We also liked watching the chickens and the scenery. The reception area was the cleanest spot in the hotel, but the rest of the place was very dirty: the bathroom was filthy, every piece of furniture was stained, the dressers were sticky, and the baseboard covers didn’t fit the baseboards. The ceilings and walls were stained, and the whole room felt unclean. We arrived late and exhausted, so all we wanted was a shower and bed, and the bed itself was clean—I checked every sheet and pillowcase. As someone who has worked in a hotel, I know what to look for, and I can’t say I felt I got what I paid for; I’ve paid less elsewhere and was extremely satisfied.
