The staff were very friendly, the bedding quality was good and it was quiet, but the view from the room window was lacking.

The location was 40 minutes from the shuttle and close to the historic town of St Omer, yet the restaurant was closed that night and there was no alternative in the village.

Only 35 minutes from Calais, so it was a very suitable place to stay whether arriving or about to leave France. The home‑cooked dinner was very good for a reasonable price, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful. The bed mattress felt lumpy and old compared with economical hotels.
