Beautifully restored castle with attention to authenticity. The grounds are very well maintained. The reception is friendly and very helpful. There is no in‑house restaurant, but just around the corner you can enjoy delicious food at a place with a wide selection.

Nice building; we liked the cement tiles, stone staircase, old parquet, and stained‑glass door; bedding was good, firm and comfortable. Towels were pleasant. Other places at the same price usually offer better service and a warmer welcome: the immediate proximity to a very busy road makes it noisy (impossible to sleep with the window open before midnight or after 4 am); the bathroom door doesn’t close; the bathroom “in its own juice” could use a refresh; reception was not very welcoming (I had to carry my luggage up the stairs without any offer of help); overall, it didn’t leave a very positive impression.

The place is really pleasant, arriving at the castle is magnificent and the parking is spacious. Inside the castle is charming and the room is very large, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom is huge, everything is well sound‑proofed so we heard no noise in the evening or night. Breakfast served in the room was good, nicely presented, and communication with the staff was efficient and friendly. Directions are clear and the staff are attentive! A successful stay, thank you! If you’re looking for a nice spot to eat, I recommend Clos Ryval, 1 km away… intimate, and especially delicious!

The location was excellent, close to Blaye. The accommodation style—a small château—was a unique experience. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and big, but the shower didn’t work properly and, while it was hot, it was tricky to manage. The shower and breakfast were pretty basic for the price of the accommodation.
