The location was good for tours, being very close to the organized tour pick‑up points, but it was awful for the beaches. The place was dirty, the staff were absent, and no one spoke English – absurd!

The room was old and poorly maintained. The photos didn’t match the actual condition at all. The doors were broken, the bathroom was old and flooded, and the room was not clean.

I asked for a high floor and they placed us on the 17th, which was great, and the hotel’s location was superb; the parking tower could be used on your own even when the attendant wasn’t there, and the value for money was very good. The only hassle was that the lobby was on the second floor, and, as other reviews mentioned, a stray cat appeared in our room on the second night, prompting a clumsy response from staff that left us uneasy; the TV was small and the remote was finicky.

The room was quite spacious and the bathroom was really nice. Everything was clean. The staff were also okay. Mosquitoes were in our room, but a mosquito spray was already in the room, so I guess it’s something they can’t control.

The hotel was nice overall and offered good value for money, especially given its downtown location. The room lighting was a bit dim, and the electric socket beside the bed wasn’t working.
