Getting to Ghent by public transport was easy, the breakfast was very good and comprehensive, and the host was great, but there was a cigarette smell hanging in the stairwell.

The rooms were beautiful and the reception was very warm, everything was top.

The hosts were very pleasant and served fantastic breakfasts; there was a separate living room and bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden, plus a separate toilet and shower; drinks could be bought any time of day, both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic; only two apartments meant no crowd at the breakfast table; a large well‑stocked grocery store and a few local restaurants were nearby; the stairs to the second floor were narrow (no problem for us, but might be for others); it is outside the city centre but bus connections are good.

Daniel welcomed us warmly, the breakfasts were excellent, the atmosphere felt like family; the accommodation was spacious with separate bedroom and living room; free parking was right next door; the neighbourhood was quiet and residential; a small terrace overlooked the garden; Wondelgem is quite far from Ghent’s centre, about twenty minutes by bike, longer by bus or train; there are a few decent restaurants close to the B&B; a fridge might be needed in the room.

The house had a unique décor and caring hosts; the rural setting offered free parking on the adjacent square and a bike garage; the owner gladly shared information about Ghent; the stairs were steep and there was no kettle in the room.
